husband's art prints: now available on minted.com

When we were walking through the streets of Thailand, Matt would suddenly stop in front of a random weathered wall and snap a picture. At the beginning I was thinking: what in the world is he doing? But as soon as I started seeing the photographs, I noticed that he was not seeing every day wear and tear. He was seeing an elegant canvas of weathered texture and rich color.

So when I saw that Minted was looking for art print submissions, I knew that Matt needed to submit these photographs. I mean, how could he not? They were amazing! So off he went. He selected his favorites and we packaged everything up and sent it to Minted. Then we waited. And waited. And waited some more. Eventually the wait was over and we found out that Minted selected three of the photographs. THREE! Just one would have been a big win, thousands of artists submit designs, so three was a huge success.

In case you are not familiar with Minted, they crowd-source design and art from a global community of independent designers, then sells the best designs as fine invitations, art prints, home office supplies, party decor, and business cards to name a few. Minted produces and sells the winning designs and then they pay the designer a commission on every sale. Pretty neat concept, right?

Now that you are as psyched and excited as us, I'll share the three winning photographs. Which by the way are now available for purchase. Wink. Wink.

This is a photograph of a temple wall in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
